This is a rough outline of what we plan our trailer to be like, however not all scenes are final and may be due to change. We felt like we needed a balance of different focal points in our trailer so the audience doesn't get lost on what the movie is about, so we had a fair amount of establishing shots, shots of both the antagonist and protagonist and quotes to reveal parts of the story.

Original trailer
This is the original trailer for The Purge: Anarchy, which we will base my animatic on. We chose this because we felt that it would compliment our actual film trailer which is based on an almost post apocalyptic city. The variety in sound and shot types (such as screams, sirens, quick shots and slow fades) allow for different editing techniques and interpretations. Especially in the introduction, it has an upbeat tune and can reflect on how fun things were, but then it all changed.
Shot trailer
We created a shot by shot trailer of The Purge: Anarchy as a guide to how many shots and captions will be used. We decided to limit myself to no more than ±20 shots, even though the trailer would have certainly included more.
The purpose of this is so that it is easier for me to recreate the trailer but with the image of our film. The different interpretations are more practical, an example is that in the original trailer, there was a sound made by motorcycles, however, in the trailer we created, instead of a motorcycle, it was now a guy with a chainsaw.

Animatic trailer
This is the final animatic we created based on the Purge trailer. We tried to use the sounds alongside the effects to further intensify the shot, for example, the quick "shutter" noise, We tried to replicate that noise in the editing of the shot, so the image will flicker into black in rapid succession when the noise comes on. We paid close attention to detail to make sure the timing of the loud booms in noise to synchronise with shot changes.
