This page is the shooting Script and Location Recce. This is where there will be a list of the shots that we will be using when filming, the locations we are filming in, the cast and crew and our main horror trailer inspirations when considering how we film our trailer.
Location
Crystal Palace Park
The following images below are of different locations in our main location which is Crystal Palace Park. Each location is important for the little time it get on screen as the location can make whether the trailer is good or bad.

Call Sheets And Location
Below is the location where we filmed and the call sheet next to it with the shots within that location
Location 1
The College
Pros: The pros of filming in college is the fact that anywhere we want to film in the college was easily accessible because it It was just a class room we needed.
Cons: Cons of filming in college is that during the day there are not a lot of empty classrooms so it was hard for the whole group to be free. |
Starts off with an establishing shot of a room with the scenery of a bedroom which will be a room we use in college and then the second shot will be a 1 second shot of the antagonist grinning and then it immediately cuts to a wide shot of the first scene of the bedroom being completely destroyed with things broken and things all over the floor.

Location 2
The Maze
Pros: The pros of filming at the maze was that it was everything we expected and the maze was quite narrow which made for some good shots.
Cons: The cons of filming in the maze was that it was that it would have been good to get a bird side view of the maze to admire the fact that we were in a maze. |
The shots filmed in the maze was where majority of our shots will be filmed. the 4th shot will be a tracking of Courtney running through the maze. This will often happen as Courtney is seen in multiple locations running from the protagonist. It then carries on with a 2 second medium long shot of the antagonist with bloody hands. Shot 6 is Courtney showing deep terrified emotion in her face showing that she is scared of the protagonist. Shot 9 is of a two shot of the stock characters running running then in shot 10 the stock characters are captured by the extras. Shot 11 is a 6 second wide shot of Courtney running again in the maze.

Location 3
The Stairs
Pros: The pros of filming on the stairs was that the whole scenery was nice and the steps were wide which made a great wide shot.
Cons: The cons of filming on the stairs was the fact that it rained that day so the steps were wet and slippery. There were many times where we couldn't film because the stairs were very close to the bus station so many people were walking through regularly. |
The 16th shot starts off the protagonist running down the stairs then which this same scenery shot 7 will an establishing shot off the the park from the stairs and shot 8 will have a wide shot of buildings around the area.
|
Location 4
The Bridge
Pros: The pros of filming on the bridge was the fact that the bridge looked good and it was long and had other useful scenery behind.
Cons: Cons of filming on the bridge was that the bridge wasn't what we expected. We thought that the bridge was going to be an actual bridge but there was only one side that was shown as a bridge and once we went upstairs the other side was pavement and the bridge was covered with fence so we couldn't shoot the bridge part the way we had hoped. |
The bridge shot is shot 17 where it's a 3 second wide shot of Courtney the protagonist running across the bridge. This ties into the other running shots we have of Courtney as if she's running from David the antagonist.
|
Location 5
The Walk Pathway
Pros: The pros of filming on the pathway was that it looked very good as a location with the trees arching over it.
Cons: Cons of filming in the pathway was that the pathway was wider then what we thought so we couldn't get the sides of the pathway. Once it started raining the pathway was very slippery so Loretta (Who plays Courtney) found it hard to do the running we asked her to do. The pathway was obviously communal so many people and their dogs were walking on it throughout the time we spent there. |
These are the final scenes of the trailer where there's an eye line shot of protagonist running from the the antagonist who is behind her. There's then a wide shot of the protagonist in the park path way where she trips then there is a close up shot of the antagonist grinning. finally it's shot 21 where the antagonist drops the hammer beside his leg and then he walks powerlessly to the protagonist.

Inspiration
Theses trailers below are inspiration for our trailer and the shots that we took from the trailers to use in our own.
This is the trailer for 'The Shining'. This film relates to the concept we are doing in our trailer because the antagonist is a father who turns on his family. This trailer inspired us because to have a family member that's meant to be the most protective of the family to turn on them was a film idea not seen a lot in horror. It's usually someone in a mask that wants to kill teenagers with an iconic weapon.
|
This is the trailer for 'Friday the 13th'. This film has key parts that were filmed outside which is the same as the trailer that we are filming. Filming outside allowed for much more flexibility in areas that we could film. This trailer inspired us because there are scenes in the woods which can easily be done at our location at Crystal Palace Park.
|
This is the trailer for 'The Purge 2 Anarchy'. This is where we got the idea for the animatic simply because it has a variety of shots that we thought would go well with our type of trailer. This trailer inspired us because the shots were exactly how we wanted our trailer to be like.
|
This is the trailer for 'Ghoul'. This film relates to the trailer that we are filming because it's key factor is cannibalism which is what we tried to involve in our trailer. This trailer inspired us because it meant that we can get tips from a film that shows cannibalism which is rare in modern day horror films.
|
This is the trailer for 'You're Next' . This film some what relates to our trailer because the beautiful girl who is the protagonist some how manages to survive the killers. The fact that it's the process of elimination also relates to our trailer because a few stock characters are killed before the antagonists gets to the final girl. This trailer inspired us because it showed how the final overcame the antagonist's many ways to try and kill her.
|
This trailer is for 'Scream'. This film relates to my trailer because the key scene is filmed outside which is the same with our trailer.
This trailer inspired us because our trailer involves a teen final girl who tries her hardest to run away from the antagonist. This allowed for us to know that our trailer can be similar to others but make it unique at the same time. |
